Rose Marie Peacemaker formally of Reidsville NC, went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 19th at the age of 72. She was surrounded by her loving family during her last moments.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 3228 Hines Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC 27405 with Reverend Walker Dave & Reverend Bill Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery.
Rose was born March 5th 1951 to John W Capps and Hazel Allred Capps in Alamance County. She spent her younger years as a Mother and homemaker, she then worked at Bojangles on Bessemer Ave until retirement as the "Famous Biscuit Maker". Rose was a devoted Grandma and Great Grandma. She enjoyed family functions and everyone knew her as "Grandma". She could be found working her crossword puzzles, watching her favorite games shows, westerns and NASCAR. Many times a week she was on the phone with her phone buddy Ms.Lela, a friend from many years of working at Bojangles together. She loved the Lord and reading her Bible, she was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist church where she sang in the choir until her health declined.
Rose was preceded in death by her Father, John W Capps; Mother, Hazel Allred Capps; three brothers Johnny Capps, Leroy Capps and Daniel Capps.
She is survived by Son, Robert Alexander; Daughter, Melissa Sells; Grandchildren Christopher Alexander (Amanda); Taylor LeVan (Tyler); Jed Alexander; Matthew Shannon; Great Grandchildren Cheyenne and Charlotte Alexander; Gracie, Tyler Jr. and Ella LeVan; Sister, Daisy Matkins; Brother, Donald Capps (Sonja); Niece, Carol Ore (Danny).
Rose "Grandma" will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 25th 2024 from 6-8pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
