She was a retired Hematologist at Methodist Evangelical Hospital. A graduate of Sacred Heart High School and the University of Louisville and member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Fred. W. Rulander and Amelia Schaffer Rulander.
Survived by son, Michael Carey (Joyce), sister, Suzanne Ronniger, two grandchildren Marsha Garvin and Tamara Michell Carey, and 6 great grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be 2 PM Friday at Calvary Cemetery 1600 Newburg Road. Visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM Friday.
