In 1822, Susannah, along with her parents and siblings, moved from Pennsylvania to Upper Canada (now Ontario) and settled in North Dumfries Township. Susannah married Jacob Wismer in 1825, and the couple farmed in North Dumfries. Their children were:
- Catharine (1839-1900)
- Levi (1840-1913)
- David (1842-1844)
