Hettie Jane was the second of George Washington & Mary (Thurman) Williams's five children. She was the mother of 14 children; only the names of nine are known.

Hettie grew up near Warsaw, Benton Co, MO & came from a fairly wealthy family. Her father served in the Civil war & suffered a great loss after the ravages of the War. He died near Warsaw, Benton Co, MO, in 1873.

In 1877 her mother moved to Cleburne, Johnson Co, TX, with Hettie and her siblings: Ezekiel "Zeke" Z., Edward "Ed," Margaret "Ella," & Robert Edward.

Hettie, age 15, married William James Love, 26, in Cleburne on Nov. 23, 1878. William, known as Bill, had moved to TX with his father & siblings after his mother had died in Maury Co, TN in 1876.

Hettie & Bill lived with her mother in Cleburne, at least two years after they were married. Their first child, George Thomas Love, was born there in 1879.

In the summer of 1880 Hettie & William moved to Sandusky with her mother (located about 17 miles northwest of Sherman in northwestern Grayson County).

If documents are correct, it appears that after George was born Hettie and William lived in various parts of TX where most of their children were born:
George Thomas Love - Cleburne, TX on September 2, 1879
Mose - Cooke Co on Feb. 7, 1881
Jackson - Grayson Co on Nov. 23, 1882
Samuel William (my grandfather) - Cooke Co on Aug. 11, 1884
Elisha Edward - Grayson Co on Mar. 15, 1887
Rosa Belle - Gordonsville, Grayson Co on Dec. 21, 1888
Robert Lee - Marietta, I.T. (later Love Co) on May 2, 1894
Jesse James - Wilson, Carter Co on Oct. 22, 1898
Emma - Wilson, Carter Co in 1901
*****

Shortly after 1892 Hettie's mother & two of Hettie's brothers, Ed & Robert, moved from Sandusky, TX to Indian Territory & lived near what would become Carter Co, OK

"The little girl of Mose Love was so badly burned one day last week as to cause her death in a short while. She was playing near a fire in the yard when her clothing caught on fire. Her grandmother, Mrs. Bill Love, burned her hands painfully in trying to save the child. The child's mother, Mrs. Addie Love died suddenly about two weeks ago. Our sympathy is with the bereaved family."

Hettie's husband, Bill, died on April 19, 1939. Some time later Hettie went to live with her son, Robert & his family. She had gone to Mountain Park with them while they picked cotton. She became ill and died on July 1, 1949. She was 86 years old.
