Paul A. Ferrell, 81, of Hewett died April 24, 1999, in Logan General Hospital after a long illness.

He was a retired miner from Lynn Coal Co., and a member of UMW and Spencer Chapel United Methodist Church, Hewett.

Surviving: wife, Helen L. Trail Ferrell; son, Roger Ferrell of Six Mile; brothers, Kyle of Twinsburg, Ohio, Dennie of Pecks Mill; sisters, Ebble Padgett of Nashville, Tenn., Hazel Craddock of Lake; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spencer Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Hager and the Rev. Roger McCauley officiating. Burial will be in Baldwin Cemetery, Lake. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home, Madison.
