CLAUDE DAWSON

Claude H. (Cherry) Dawson, 75, of 1806 Spring St., Parkersburg, W.Va., died today at 2:10 a.m. at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following an illness of several weeks.

He had resided in Parkersburg for two years but was born in East Liverpool May 20, 1903, a son of Avery Graham Dawson and Jennie M. Johnston Dawson.

He was retired from Crucible Steel Division of Colt Industries.

In addition to his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Stacey Dawson at home, survivors include two sons, Robert Dawson, who is head basketball coach at Wellsville High School, and Allen Dawson of Calcutta, and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home here where other arrangements are incomplete.

Services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. from the Dawson Funeral Home for Claude H. (Cherry) Dawson, 75, of 1806 Spring St., Parkersburg, W.Va.

The Rev. Paul George of the Boyce United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday.

Mr. Dawson died Friday at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following an illness of several weeks.
