My dad was a good and honest man. He was funny as hell and incredibly smart. He was devoted to the love of his life, my mom, Anna. The two of them went to school together, but didn't start dating until after high school. He served in the navy for 12 years and was very proud of serving aboard the USS Roosevelt and USS Saratoga. After the navy we all moved to Indiana. He got a job working at the Indianapolis Zoo, where he would eventually retire as the Facility Director of the whole zoo.
