SCITUATE, May 11 - A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Anthony's Church, Cohasset, for Thomas P. Coppinger, 74, of 40 Gannett Road, Scituate, who died yesterday at Carney Hospital, Dorchester.

Born in West Medford, where he was a resident until five years ago, he had been a summer resident of Scituate for the last 20 years.

He was a senior member of the firm of Bartlett, Coppinger and Maloon, and was formerly associated with Boston Dry Goods, the Noera Flannel and Woolen Mills and Sylvia-Coppinger. He was a charter member of the Medford Council, K. of C., and a founder of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Raphael's Church, West Medford.

Husband of the late Mrs. Mary (Barrett) Coppinger, he is survived by a son, Thomas P., Jr., and three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor M. Chisholm, Miss Catherine E. Monahan and Mrs. Jean A. Gaffey, all of Scituate.

The funeral will leave from his home Monday morning at 8 o'clock. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
