Retired from position of Personnel Specialist with the Internal Revenue Service, Greensboro..

Member of West Market Street United Methodist Church. Served as President of the First Couples Class, Secretary to the Administrative Board, and Coordinator of Adult Sunday School Class.

Past member of Professional Secretaries International. Served as President of the Greensboro Chapter and North Carolina Division and member of the PSI International Board.

Past member of Altrusa International of Greensboro.

Volunteer work includes serving as Bookkeeper for the Shepherd's Center of Greensboro, Volunteer Income Tax Assistor and Tax Counselor for the Elderly.

Predeceased by Husband, Robert E. Haynes. Survived by Son, Ronald K. Haynes; Granddaughters, Holly Haynes (Seann), Kelly (Kenny) Ripley, and Betsy (John) Haynes; Great Grandchildren Addie and Benjamin Roy.
