Mr. Lawton died Saturday in an automobile accident.
A Shreveport native, he had lived in Shreveport one year. He was a welder and member of the Vivian First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of North Caddo High School and the Shreveport Vo-Tech Center Welding School. He attended Cumberland College in Lebanon, TN.
Survivors include parents Mr. and Mrs. R. Clyde Lawton, Jr. of Vivian; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Clyde Lawton, Sr. of Bossier City; sisters, Lezlie Lawton, Linda Lawton, Merry Lawton, and Virginia Lawton all of Vivian; and brother Byram Lawton of Vivian;.
Pallbearers were to be Bill Adger, Chip Pfanner, Edwin Yarborough, Steven Tompkins, Jeff Bogan, Robert Patrick, Danny Carter, and Robbie Phillips.
