Services for David Charles Lawton, 22, of 4523 Tulsa were to be at 2 p.m. today at McGuire Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian. The Rev. J. C. Clement of Pineville and the Rev. Merlin Liverman, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Vivian, were to officiate and burial was to be in Forest Park.
Mr. Lawton died Saturday in an automobile accident.
A Shreveport native, he had lived in Shreveport one year. He was a welder and member of the Vivian First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of North Caddo High School and the Shreveport Vo-Tech Center Welding School. He attended Cumberland College in Lebanon, TN.
Survivors include parents Mr. and Mrs. R. Clyde Lawton, Jr. of Vivian; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Clyde Lawton, Sr. of Bossier City; sisters, Lezlie Lawton, Linda Lawton, Merry Lawton, and Virginia Lawton all of Vivian; and brother Byram Lawton of Vivian;.
Pallbearers were to be Bill Adger, Chip Pfanner, Edwin Yarborough, Steven Tompkins, Jeff Bogan, Robert Patrick, Danny Carter, and Robbie Phillips.
