Quentin Boring was born on May 20, 1931, to James Henry Boring and Ilamae Dodgen Boring in Creedmoor, Texas. He passed away at 12:03 P.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2015.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Lillie Jo Boring; son, Jeffery Lynn Boring; grandson, Austin Grumbles; father, James Henry Boring; mother, Ilamae Dodgen.

He was married to the love of his life, Lillie Jo for over 55 years.

At an early age, he excelled as a mechanical technician. He built, maintained and raced cars and motorcycles. He also competed in numerous races on several of the local race- tracks in North Texas. After serving in the Korean War, he returned to Dallas to work at a car dealership.

He married Lillie Jo Padgett on August 2, 1957.

Along with Lillie Jo, he was baptized at Yankee Stadium in 1958. This historic International Convention is the largest Convention ever hosted by Jehovah's Witnesses with over 253,000 in attendance. He was among the over 7,000 persons baptized. He loved attending Christian gatherings and associating with the persons he met. His loyalty to God was the most important thing in his life. Even when threatened with major illness, he refused to compromise and he continued to maintain his integrity to Jehovah. He enjoyed helping to build the local Kingdom Hall devoting many hours to the project.

Quentin was always willing to help a friend with repairing and fixing just about anything or just giving advice.

He reunited with his daughter, Penny Lynn Spradling, when she was 36 years old and was elated to find out that she is also one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

We will miss him dearly.
