Betty was born in Brightwater, Arkansas, but spend most of her childhood and adult life in Springfield. She attended Central High School and later met Francis BeVier. She became the stepmother to two daughters, Laurie and Cindy.
After her marriage to Francis, Betty became a lifelong lover of cats, dogs, and other animals. They eventually moved to Texas and she continued to take in and care for many stray animals over the years.
Betty is survived by her stepdaughters, Laura BeVier Levorsen (Mark), Cindy BeVier Hodges; her step grandkids, Hannah BeVier Meyer (Logan), Drew BeVier Levorsen (Ali); her four great grandchildren, Callen, Brae, Lyla, and Josie.
Burial Friday, January 26, 2024, in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
