Bonnie D. Kovatch, 90 of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Wellbrooke of South Bend, Indiana. She was born on August 7, 1933 in New Carlisle, Indiana to the late Carr. V. and Mildred (Swank) Rodgers. On May 27, 1961 she married the love of her life James E. Kovatch who preceded her in death on July 25, 2023. Bonnie was also preceded in death by one brother, James C. Rodgers, one nephew Todd J. Rodgers and one brother-in-law, Richard J. Kovatch. She is survived by one niece Julie Rodgers of New Carlisle, Indiana, one sister-in-law, Toby Rodgers of New Carlisle, Indiana, many cousins and two special friends, Dennis and Chris.

Bonnie retired from the Bendix Corp after forty-five years of work. She enjoyed many things in life especially attending church, working in the yard, puzzles and visiting with family and friends. Private family burial for Bonnie will take place in Olive Chapel Cemetery in New Carlisle, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice in Bonnie's honor.
