Singer and theatrical coach, born in Canada.

She was the sister of actor Walter Huston. Actors Angelica and Danny Huston are her great-niece and nephew.

Margaret studied music in Europe before WWI and made several concert appearances in London as a singer. She was an expert in voices and became an elocution consultant for actors and actresses. John Barrymore was one of her coaching students (as well as his wife, poet Michael Strange, who met her first.) She also coached Orson Welles, Lilian Gish and her own brother Walter. Orson Welles related how he first met Laurence Oliver at a party given by Margaret.

She was willed $1.6 million on the death of her first husband in 1931, William T. Carrington, grain broker, who was president of the American Opera Co. Margaret rests in Carrington's plot though at the time of her death she was married to theatrical scenic designer and director Robert Edmond Jones who she married in 1933.

Margaret died in Quaker Ridge, CT after a long illness.
