SAND CREEK – Ross Double, age 88, of Sand Creek, died August 13. 2022, at Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio.
He was born February 8, 1934, in Morenci to Kenneth and Helen (Keefer) Double. On September 27, 1952, he was married to Ruth Evans in Angola, IN. He had been employed by Kewaunee Manufacturing for 26 years and then by PPG Industries for 13 years. Ross farmed all of his life. He was a loving father and grandfather and was a former member of the Moose.
In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by two sons, Gary Double of GA, and Larry (Pamela) Double of Adrian; two daughters, Marlene (George) Court of Adrian and Wanda Doane of Adrian; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Rita Mason, Alline Wiler, Janet Rauth, and Ila Bates; and a granddaughter, Casey Riley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. William Van Valkenburg officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Morenci.
