Funeral services will be held on the same day at 3:00 pm, with a graveside service immediately following at Butler Memorial Cemetery. The Reverend Lance Bernard will be officiating. The pallbearers are Robby Cosey, Clint Scott, Craig Scott, Chris Scott, and Todd Moore.
Charlotte was born in Crowell, Georgia on January 16, 1941, to the late Willie Rob Cosey and Thelma Dugger Cosey. She was the youngest of 8 siblings. In 1962 she married the love of her life, William Bussey Hammack , after having been sweethearts from 13 years old. After high school she was employed by the Citizen State Bank of Butler where she worked for many years until her life changed forever with the birth of her first child on Christmas Eve in 1967. From that moment she became a homemaker and devoted her life to her two children, Stacy and Chip, three grandchildren, Ansleigh, Caitlyn, and Noah, and one great-grandchild, Ada.
She was a devoted member member of the Butler Global Methodist Church and worked tirelessly with other members of the church in community outreach and coordinating meals during funerals and weddings.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Hammack Jarrell and Stan; son, William Bussey Hammack, Jr. (Chip) and Vida; sister, Sylvia Cosey Swain; granddaughter, Ansleigh Jarrell Spell and Billy Jack; granddaughter, Caitlyn Cosey Jarrell; grandson, Noah Thomas Hammack; great-granddaughter, Ada Charlotte Spell, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Butler Global Methodist Church.
