Leon Miller, 90, of the Wallace community passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Enterprise, AL and a resident of Wallace for the majority of his life. He was a retired electronic foreman at the Naval Air Rework facility, NAS Pensacola. He was a longtime member and deacon of the Wallace Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S Air Force. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and growing gardens to share with everyone.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Miller; his parents, Leo and Georgia Miller; sisters, Jean Guernsey, Ann Adams, Doris Nowling, and brother Harold Miller.

Survivors include his son, Alan Miller (Joy); three daughters, Lynn Miller, Darvene Ackerman (Mark), and Monica Thompson (Brian); brothers, Wid Miller, Lomax Miller (Gaylier), Neal Miller (Dee); sisters, Virginia Dozier, and Carolyn Tidwell; four grandchildren, Sherrie Davis (Steve), Lili Caroline Miller, Carson Miller, and William Thompson; a great grandson, Atticus Holmes.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 12:00 noon in the Wallace Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Martin and Reverend LaDon Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 12:00 noon on Friday at the church.
