Paul Michael Ahern of Hartland Township passed away at home on January 17, 2023, at the age of 66.

Paul was the beloved husband of Kim and the two had been married for 31 years. He is the cherished father of Anna Maureen (Brad) Brewer and Brien Everett Ahern, and adored grandfather of Juniper Ray Brewer. He is the dear brother of Carol (Tim) Richards, Jeanne (Todd) Peters and Dyan (Tom) Cockels. Paul is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norman and Lorraine Kubbe, brother-in-law, Greg (Christi) Kubbe and many nieces and nephews.

Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His presence will be felt forever in the legacy he leaves behind. He lived his life always looking to better the lives of those around him through a practical helping hand, words of wisdom, or just being actively present at many social gatherings. His levity and perfectly-timed sense of humor brought laughter and smiles to many. He greatly enjoyed travel, doing business, and home yard projects with his chainsaw and backhoe.

He was a faithful husband and father, forever cherished by the family he loved wholeheartedly. He took seriously his role as protector and provider and always looked out for the best interest of his loved ones. Children loved Paul just as much as he loved them with his own child-like heart. His involvement within his church family was very strong, and it was his faith that grounded him, leading him to live his life with selflessness and abundance. He was loved and admired by so many and his presence will be sorely missed. He is now resting peacefully, awaiting Resurrection Day.
