Christine was born in Bakersfield, California to Richard Acosta and Ella Marie Kline Acosta.
She graduated from Emerson Jr. High and Bakersfield High in 1975. At Bakersfield High, she participated in track and field throwing the shot put and discuss, and lettering.
Christine worked very hard throughout her life.
She leaves behind three sons and three grandchildren. Son Nathan Vasquez and wife Jessica, son Nicolas Grothers and son Noland Grothers. Grandchildren Xavier Vasquez, Damien Vasquez and Jazlynn Vasquez.
She also leaves behind sisters Barbara Martinez, Doreen Peterson and husband Ken, and Rose-Marie Acosta, and special sister-in-law Aida. Brothers Anthony Acosta, Roland Acosta and William Roger Acosta.
Christine was sick the last seven years of her life, fighting liver disease. We will always admire her for never giving up the fight.
Christine was very proud of her Native American heritage, being of Yokuts and Paiute tribes.
Preceded in death were her mother and father, and brother Richard E. Acosta.
