He was born on September 21, 1993, in Whitley County, Kentucky, to Angela Hale of Kentucky and Michael (Sabrina) Hartman of Ottoville, who both survive him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving sisters, Samantha (Kyle) Rode of Delphos and Megan (Tyler) Wollenhaupt of Van Wert; two stepbrothers, Anthony and Collin Schnipke of Ottoville; two nieces and two nephews, Kayleigh & Olivia Rode and Rhett & Kane Rode, all of Delphos. He will also be dearly missed by his grandparents, Sharon (Michael) Kline of Delphos; and other extended family members.
Preceding him in death was his Grandpa, Robert Hartman.
Lance worked as an ironworker in Memphis, TN, showcasing his exceptional talent as a welder. Living life to the fullest, he embraced every moment with an adventurous spirit and joy. Lance will forever be remembered for his ability to brighten any space he entered, his contagious smile, and his unwavering friendship to everyone he met.
His family would like to invite everyone to join them on Saturday, January 20, 2024, for visitation at Gearhart-Sauer Funeral home in Convoy, OH from 10:00-11:00AM, with a memorial prayer service starting at 11:00AM. A meal and celebration of life will be from 12:00-2:00PM at the Convoy Community Building. All friends and family are welcome to come share in his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the Ohio Recovery Center, Van Wert, OH.
