She was predeceased by her parents, Paul Simpson and Carrie Simpson.Judy Ann Butcher faithfully finished the race on August 22, 2019. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whose lives had all been touched by Judy in many ways throughout her memorable life.

Judy was born on December 25, 1949, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Paul and Carrie Simpson. On September 1, 1967, she married Jerry Butcher. Together they raised six loving children, Joey, Jena, Jason, Jerrod, Jessica, and John. Judy's life was marked by her faithful devotion of her Lord, her enduring love for her husband of 51 years, and her unwavering affection for her children and grandchildren.

Judy Butcher leaves a legacy of love for everyone who met and knew her. Her heart was a light that demonstrated the love of Jesus outwardly to her family and community. With six children at home, Judy had more patience than an average mom. She was known to cook more than enough food at every meal. This she served around the family's worn, wooden dining table where anyone and everyone was always invited to find an extra chair or stool and join the family.

Judy loved to read her Bible every day. She cherished any opportunity to spend time with her family and also enjoyed the time spent riding on the back of a motorcycle with Jerry. As a child, some of her favorite memories were of the occasions she spent with her mother, father, and siblings at the lake. When Judy spoke, her smile and laugh would light up the room. Her kindness is what is most remembered, and if you have met Judy, then you know you have been loved unconditionally by her. This she learned from her Saviour and practiced it without reserve.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Paul and her mother, Carrie.

She is survived by her husband Jerry, her six children, Joey, Jena, Jason, Jerrod, Jessica, and John, her siblings Carolyn Farmer, Paula York, and George Moore, 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as friends too.
