Funeral services were held on Friday, 29 December 2023 at First Street Church, where he was a member, with Matt Matzke, pastor of the church officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Beeson~Morrison Funeral Directors.
Jimmy was born to Alton "Cotton" and Rubinell (Snider) Wootton. He grew up in Granite, OK where he was a member of the basketball and baseball teams. He married Ann Stovall in 1963 in Granite, OK. The couple later moved to Dumas, TX where they raised their children and made their home..Jimmy was a welder and retired from Conoco Phillips with over 40 years of service. He enjoyed all sporting events but especially baseball. His favorite past time was following gis grandchildren and supporting them in all their events.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of over 60 years; sons: Lyndon and Randy; 4-grandchildren; 2-great grandchildren; brothers: Leo Wootton, Don Wootton , Dennis Wootton and Dick Banister; and his beloved dog BB.
