Ellen was the daughter of Dr Lewis Wolberg and Arlene Robbins Wolberg, the wife of Joel Baumwoll mother of Michael and Lisa sister of Barbara Hamburger.
Her passing has left a hole in our family and in our tradition we say May her memory be a blessing.

Ellen May Wolberg Baumwoll passed away on December 28th, 2023 in the company of her loving family after a very difficult period of illness.
Ellen was born June 6, 1938 in Croton on Hudson, NY. She was a graduate of The Walden School and attended St Lawrence University in Canton, Ohio, NYU and was a member of KKG Sorority.
She is predeceased by her parents Arlene (Robbins)and Dr Lewis R Wolberg her son Michael Wolberg Nilsen-Baumwoll and her sister Barbara Hamburger.
Ellen lived a rich full life with her husband Joel and a close friendship with her sister's family in the City and in their Lake homes in Putnam County, N Y .
Ellen taught special needs children in New York City and was a much favored teacher. She went on to Graduate School to earn a degree to provide an office practice of psychotherapy to a grateful list of patients and after the birth of her daughter had an prolific practice using the telephone with her patients predating the current predominance of online therapy. Ellen Created an interactive website called MotherGoose Caboose to educate and stimulate children and their teachers.
Ellen was a homemaker and active involved caring mother to her 2 children Lisa and Michael and a tremendous support to her husband Joel as he advanced in his career on Madison Avenue.
She leaves her daughter Lisa Konstadt and Josh, her grandchildren Hannah, Nathaniel, Maya and Clara, her daughter in law Liz Nilsen-Baumwoll her brother in law Bob and nephews and loving extended family and friends.
Ellen's warmth, laugh, and kind understanding is a legacy that will remain with all who knew her.
A remembrance of Ellen and her life will be held at her beloved Roaring Brook Lake home in Putnam Valley in the Spring
Her cremains will be interred at Rose Hill Cemetery.
In honor of Ellen and her son Michael the family asks that remembrances can be made to an endowed scholarship which has been created for musicians at SUNY Purchase. Contributions can be made in her name.
