Nyla Fowler Obituary
Nyla Jean Fowler, age 72, of Cincinnati, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center in Centerville.

Nyla was born on May 15, 1951 in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Lee and Jewell (Brown) Williams. She graduated from Ava High School with the Class of 1969.

Nyla worked several jobs throughout her life. After moving to Iowa, she began working for Young Radiator, where she met her future husband, Dannie. She was united in marriage to Dannie Eugene Fowler Sr. on February 20, 1982 at the Rock Valley Church of God in Centerville. To this union, two children were born, Dannie Eugene Fowler Jr. and Kyrstal Yvonne Fowler.

Nyla was a stay-at-home mom for several years. When the children got older, she began working again and eventually accepted a position in Housekeeping at the MercyOne Centerville Medical Center, where she worked for 19 years until retiring.

Left to cherish Nyla's memory are her children, Dannie Fowler Jr. and Krystal Fowler; her sisters, Yvonne Sacco and Marcy (Gary) Buckallew; four brothers-in-law, Randy (Mary) Fowler, Roger (Pam) Fowler, David Fowler, and James (Andrea) Fowler; three sisters-in-law, Kathy (Steve) Edwards, Jeanne Selvy, and Bea Williams; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Nyla was preceded in death by her husband, Dannie Fowler Sr. on February 28, 2021; her parents, Lee and Jewell Williams; her in-laws, Donna and LaVern Fowler; her siblings, Shirley Starbuck, Thelma Hicks, Junior Williams, Bob Williams, Mozella Blackmon, Rose Marie Williams and Billy Ray Williams; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Herr; and a nephew, Jacob Herr.

Funeral services for Nyla will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Solid Rock Church of God in Centerville with Pastor Tony Angran officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will take place Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Solid Rock Church of God in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 10:00-11:00AM.
