Abraham Michael Chapman
September 27, 1985 — September 17, 2023

The vivacious and fun-loving Abraham Michael Chapman, 37, of Spring City/Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away September 17, 2023. He was born September 27, 1985, to Dane Michael and Barbara Cain Chapman in Denver, Colorado.

Abe had three great loves: his family—previous wife, Amanda, and children Charity and Atticus; music; and finding freedom and truth. He met Amanda at Snow College where he studied electrical engineering and music. As newlyweds, they ran the Osborne Inn in Spring City, Utah, and lived in Provo, Utah, for a time. Abe combined his love for music and inventive, entrepreneurial spirit to create AC Sound and worked as an audio engineer in a variety of venues, including KXAZ radio in Page, Arizona; KAGE at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah; Life Under the Horseshoe Radio Show in Spring City; and June Audio and Black Pyramid Recording studios in Provo. His children, Charity and Atticus, were his greatest joy and mark on this world. Music was his creative outlet and catharsis—he loved 70s rock, playing his guitar, singing, and composing. He found freedom in nature and enjoyed reading and philosophizing about truth. Abe was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was adored by all children, including his many nieces and nephews. His light on this earth will be sorely missed.

Abe is survived by his parents, Dane and Barbara Chapman; previous wife, Amanda; children Charity and Atticus; siblings, Christopher D. (Katie) Chapman; Brittany A. Chapman Nash (Peter Nash); Cooper D. Chapman; Angela B. (Colter) Kennedy; Carly M. (Jared) Jakins; Jacob D. Chapman (Dorothy Lee) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Maslen and Louise Evenson Cain and Lester H. and Evelyn B. Slaughter Chapman; aunt Shirley Cain Brunner.

Graveside service will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Spring City Cemetery with a family gathering time at 10:30 a.m.
