James A. Brewer of LaGrange, Indiana, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away on August 14, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on July 3, 1957 in Paintsville, Kentucky, to the late James Garth Brewer and Valeria (Arms) Brewer.

He served in the US Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, 2 sons, James Brewer Jr. and Gerald Grider , 4 daughters: Tracey Johnson, Melisa Gibson, Sonya Rodriguez, and Judy Grider, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Other survivors are his brother, Michael McCarty, and 6 sisters; Janetta Fairchild, Deborah Fitzpatrick, Dinah Goble, Karen Ping, Patricia Marsillett, and Teresa Hall.

His funeral service will be conducted on August 18, 2016 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery.
