Gary was known for his grit in both life and business. He will be remembered fondly as an avid outdoorsman who made a career of his passion for hunting and wildlife management, which he lovingly shared with his children and grandchildren. He had a natural athleticism that began at childhood and spanned a lifetime through a talent for golf. Gary never met a stranger and loved any opportunity to banter and exercise his quick wit.
He is preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Edward.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Carroll-Cahill of Houston; three daughters—Karen Cahill of San Antonio, TX, Cari (Blake) Morgan of Katy, TX, and Aaryn (Joseph) Fuda of Katy; three grandchildren—Maci, Cole and Anderson; stepson Chris (Yvette) Carroll of Denver, CO; sister Shirley (A.R. "Bob") Powell and family of Guthrie; and brother Richard (Phyllis) Cahill and family of Broken Arrow, OK.
Gary will be laid to rest with his parents and brother at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie Tuesday, May 31 at 11:00 A.M.. A celebration of life will follow from 12:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. at Guthrie Golf and Country Club. All are welcome to attend both the graveside service and following reception.
