Sharon Kay Watts, age 79, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away December 20, 2023 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center in Osceola.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Osceola with Pastor Soonil Park officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 21 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church. Musical selections will be "Ships of Heaven", "Angels Among Us", and "Standing Room Only."

Pallbearers will be Logan Watts, Brandi Watts, Miranda Ericson, Luke Ericson, Peyton Watts, Mariah Jensen, Mollie Rathjen, Thad Rathjen and Carson Watts.

Interment will be in the Osceola Cemetery.

Sharon was born May 30, 1944 in Shelby, Nebraska to Ray Leroy and Elsie Amelia (Bernt) Abbott.

She attended school in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in 1962. After graduation Sharon worked at the Polk County Courthouse.

On December 9, 1964 she was united in marriage to Raymond Charles Watts at the First United Methodist Church in Osceola. To this union three children were born.

Sharon was a stay-at-home mom until her children were older. She then helped out at the family business, Builders Supply of Osceola, until retirement in 2008.

She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and her coffee group at Gathering Grounds in Osceola.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, PEO and numerous other community organizations where she volunteered over the years.

Survivors include her children Penny (Doug) Rathjen of Osceola, Toby (Evette) Watts of Osceola and Polly (Jeff) Sindelar of Estes Park, CO; grandchildren: Miranda (Luke) Ericson, Mollie Rathjen, Thad Rathjen, Logan (Brandi) Watts, Peyton (Mariah Jensen), Carson Watts all of Osceola; great grandchildren Kendall and Kade Watts; sister Bette (Wayne) Lempka of Lincoln; brother Michael 'Mick' (Connie) Abbott of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond who passed away September 23, 2021, and her parents Ray and Elsie.
