Cleon Dee Anderson of Boulder, Colorado passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 13, 2023. He was born in Bear River City, Utah to Frildo Virgil and Verda Jensen Andersen. Cleon Dee Anderson was the older of two brothers born to their parents and Carlos F. Anderson was the younger.

Cleon graduated from Bear River High School in 1949, and was shortly thereafter drafted on August, 1950 into the US Army, but did not start his boot camp and special ops training until January 1952.

In fall of 1951, he started to date his future wife Marlene Bourne, whom he had known during his high school years as a very good friend. Then in January 1952 he was off to start his military training and served in the Korean Military Advisors Group (KMAG).

After returning from Korea in December 1953, and upon getting back to Bear River City, he continued to date the love of his life Marlene Bourne. They were married in August 3, 1954. After the marriage, Cleon pursued a degree in Engineering at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Cleon graduated from the Utah State University with a BS degree in Business and Social Sciences in 1960. After graduation, Cleon and Marlene located to California, obtaining work for multiple air plane manufacturers. Their two sons, Gregory Dee and Michael Drew were born while living in California. In 1977, Cleon's company relocated the Anderson family to the Boulder, Colorado area where they have resided until his passing.

Cleon is preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Marlene of 54 years, who passed away on the December 13, 2008 exactly 15 years prior to Cleon's passing. Cleon is survived by sons Gregory [Tracy] Anderson and Drew Anderson and his brother Carlos F. [Jeanine].

A visitation will take place on December 23, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Greenwood & Meyers Mortuary, Boulder, CO 80303. Interment will take place on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in the Bear River City Cemetery, Bear River City, Utah.
