He was born on March 21, 1954, in Eddyville, KY, to the late Hilda Hinton Gammon and Willie Herman Gammon. He was formerly employed as a coal miner for Island Creek Coal Company/Consul and at WalMart in Morganfield, KY. He loved fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Teresa Hook Parrish; daughter, Crystal (Stephen) Harris of St. Charles; son, William Earl Parrish, Jr. of Kentucky; stepdaughter, Tanya Pinegar-Nance of Madisonville, KY; stepsons, Jeremy Pinegar of Illinois and Jimmie Pinegar of Tennessee; seven granddaughters; one step grandson; and several great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
