Helen Marie Korb, age 92, of Edgerton, Kan., passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, at Royal Terrace Nursing Home in Olathe, Kan. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, Kan., (913) 856-7111. Burial will follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens in Shawnee, Kan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edgerton United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. Helen was born December 6, 1915, in Lamar, Mo., to Charles Carl and Florence Elizabeth (Moore) Albert. She graduated from Tonganoxie High School. Helen married Roy Martin Korb. They lived in Olathe till 1976, Wheatland, Mo., for 14 years and then moved to Edgerton. She was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, the UMW and prayer circle. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; her parents; children Gary Korb and Florence Wintermute; brothers Bernard, Marvin, Russell, Chester, Glen, Charles Jr., and one grandson, Collin. Helen is survived by sons Roger Korb of Sheridan, Wyo., and A. Jerome Korb and Barb of Edgerton, Kan.; brothers Eugene and Donald Albert of Port Bryan, Ill.; sister Virginia Kranjovich of Port Bryan, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
