He was born on January 21, 1943 in Hammond to the late James and Helen (Smith) Ludberg, but spent his formative years in Stony Creek, Canada. Lawrence attended Purdue University. Mr. Ludberg retired from Alcoa Aluminum in Lafayette after 33 years and then went on to work at Chrysler in Kokomo. He enjoyed photography, gardening, reading, target shooting, and going to auctions.
He is survived by his children, Craig (Christy Bagat) Ludberg and Christina (Mark) Wissel; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Janice (Joe) Levreault, Linda Hill, and Charles (Kathy) Ludberg.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Judith; a great-granddaughter, Madison Tyrie ; and a brother, James.
A Celebration of Lawrence's Life will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Georgetown Place, 1717 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne. Private burial will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery in Lafayette.
