Elizabeth V. Beard
Arenzville, Aug. 25 - Funeral services for Elizabeth V. Beard were held at the Arenzville Presbyterian church Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. August 22, the Rev. Morrison Means officiating. Pallbearers were Gayle and Myron Hierman, Dale, Russell, Raymond and Robert Beard, all relatives of the deceased. The flowers were taken care of by the Misses Mae Beard and Faye Hierman. Interment was made in the Arenzville cemetery.

Elizabeth Victoria Beard, daughter of John and Mary Ann Batis Beard, was born July 25, 1857, near Arenzville and spent her entire life in this vicinity. She was a member of the Arenzville Presbyterian church. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and seven brothers and sisters. She leaves the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Frances Springer, Mrs. Amanda Dreesbach and Lee Beard, all of Arenzville. Henry Beard, of Sillsbee, Tex., W. W. Beard of Springfield and a host of relatives and friends.
