Deeter – T. H. Deeter died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.C. Bonnett near Akron, Thursday morning at eleven o'clock following a stroke of paralysis which he suffered Thursday morning at four o'clock. Mr. Deeter was born March 14, 1841 and died February 20, 1919 aged 77 years, 11 months and 6 days. He was married to Elizabeth Rairigh, April 16, 1863 in Ohio.

They moved to Kansas in 1879. Three daughters were born to this union, Ermina, Ella and Mary. Surviving are the wife and two daughters, Mrs. W.E. Johnston of Rock, and Mrs. W.C. Bonnett of Akron. The daughter Mary dying January 12, 1880. He united with the Dunkard church on his twenty-first birthday and lived a most devoted Christian. Mr. Deeter lived in Winfield until October 1917 when his wife suffered a light paralytic stroke and they moved to the home of their daughter, Mrs. Bonnett.
