Mary Joyce Bramblett
August 27, 1949 - December 13, 2023

Mary Joyce Bramblett, 74, of White, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton. Born in Cartersville on August 27, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge Bramblett and the late Sudie Howell Bramblett. She was also preceded in death by her older sister, Martha Ferguson, and her younger sister, Sarah Jo King; her niece, Michelle King; and the father of her children, Jerry McCollum.

Joyce was an outgoing person, she enjoyed NASCAR, Days of Our Lives, Jerry Springer, going to Florida, shopping, and eating out with friends. Joyce was of the Baptist faith and attended Cassville Baptist Church and Cloverleaf Missionary Baptist Church. To say that Joyce, nicknamed by her first grandchild as "Maw Maw Who's the Sunshine", loved her family would be an understatement, they were the joy of her life. She rarely missed a sporting event, recital, concert, play or any activity that her sons and later her grandbabies were involved in. Joyce enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and even as they grew older, she still called them the "babies" all the way down to her "baby grandson Jake". "Maw Maw Who's the Sunshine" will be missed but she will always be remembered by the unconditional love she showed them all.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny McCollum & Jada, and Joey McCollum & Faith; her grandchildren, Baylee Filson, Jonah McCollum, Jordan Griffin, Jessica Johnson, Hannah Larson, Hayden McCollum, and Jake McCollum; her great-grandchildren, Zion, Zane, Zayde, Penelope, Sophia, Tuulie, Addie, and Huddson; her lifelong friend, Joyce Chastain; several nieces; and her fur babies and companions, Toby, and Winston.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2023, at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be her family, Johnny McCollum, Joey McCollum, Jonah McCollum, Drew Johnson, Jake McCollum, Justin Filson and Tyller Larson.
