LeRoy (Roy) Kimball Berrett, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully from complications of Congestive Heart Failure, on December 12, 2023. He was 82 years old.

Roy was born to Golden LeRoy Berrett and Caroline Kimball on November 7, 1941 in Murray, Utah. He was raised on a farm, with his 7 brothers and sisters, in Union, Utah. Roy graduated from Jordan High School in 1960 and served a mission for The LDS church from 1961-1963 in the Southern States Mission. Following his mission, Roy met and married Mary Richards in the Salt Lake City Temple on October 1, 1964.

Roy was the Vice-President for Bower's Construction for 12 years before moving his family to Hanford, California in 1978 to become a partner in Bacome Insurance. Hanford is where he and Mary made their home and raised their children for the next 40 years. In 2021 they moved back to Utah where he lived the last 2 years of his life.

Anyone who knew Roy, knew of his love of the Dodgers, the Boston Celtics, golf, the BYU Cougars, missionary work, joke telling, and most importantly his love for his family and his Savior, Jesus Christ. He served in many church callings including Bishop, Branch President over 5 prisons in the Hanford, California Stake, and Mission President for the South Carolina Columbia Mission from 2002-2005. He has had a profound impact on many people through his love of others and his testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Roy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary, his children; Bryan, Amy Leslie (Brandon), and Riley (Joanna), nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Golden (Connie), Carolyn (Mick), and Brenda (Dan). He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Andrew, and his siblings; Marilyn, Sherrell, Vaughn, and Chad.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, located at 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah. The funeral will be held in the same location on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 11:00am. There will be a brief viewing at 10:00am prior to the services.
