Ronald D. Allen Sr. of Belding, Michigan passed away Tuesday April 25, 2023, in the care of his loving family along with the expert care of Promedica Hospice of Grand Rapids. Ronald fondly known as Ron by countless friends and family was born April,16, 1939 to Walter T. Allen and Helen Vera Luce. Ron proudly served in the Airforce prior to his career as an expert mechanic, which he shared his skills alongside loved co-workers of Warner Trucking of Belding until retirement. Aside from work Ron had a deep love for Nature and all she had to offer. He was an all around sportsman and was in his glory when sharing and passing on all his little tricks of the hunt or fishing to his children and grandchildren. Leaving each and everyone with cherished memories shared with Dad or Grandpa. Deer camp stories were and will continue to be cherished pastime conversation pieces for lifetimes to come. Music and dance was also a favorite pastime for Ron and his girls. Each one has that special song and dance to keep his love alive within them. "Unforgettable" that's what their Daddy is. Ron's family was certainly his greatest purpose and accomplishment in his life. He created bonds which can never be broken in one of the largest family garden known to man. Ron was proud of his cooking skills as well as his handy work he put into the family dinner table which would bring them all together on a daily basis. Time spent at the family lake cottage will never be forgotten. These were his special ways of bringing them all together as a unit "his family" which truly is quite a unique bunch. Right to the end he wore the most unforgettable and brightest, genuine smile one can muster in their presence. A smile to last a lifetime. Ronald is survived by all his children; Diane (Phelim) Cavlan of Belding, Ronald D Allen Jr. of Sheridan, Laura (Rodney) Kennedy of Belding/Gowen, Dawn Allen (Dave Cole) of Sand Lake, Jeff (Dani) Allen of Ionia, Mary (Fernando) of Ionia, Kevin (Holli) Allen of Belding, Wendy (Greg) Echter of Orleans, brother in-law Michael (Dona) Anderson, as well as nieces; nephews; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Helen Allen, his soul mate Janet A. Allen, sister Kathleen Melendez, brothers Bert Richard and Roger Allen and grandsons Matthew Jason Allen and Tory Hodson. In keeping with his wish's cremation has taken place and no funeral will be held.
