Betty Jean Odom, 93, of Victoria, passed away December 12, 2023. Betty was born September 12, 1930 in Charco, Texas to the late Minnie Sanders Dickenson and Fred M. Barden. Betty was a registered nurse and spent most of career working at Citizens Medical Center for 14 years. She also was Director of Nurses at Linwood Place Nursing Home for 3 years, Director of Nurses at Cuero Nursing Home for 3 years and also Director of Nurses at Yoakum Nursing Home for 3 years. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and spending time with family.

Betty is survived by her sons; Michael D. Gannon (Sharon) of Victoria, Randall K. Gannon (Lori) of Victoria; step-children, Danny Odom (JoAnn) of Georgetown, Diana Odom Tippie of Bastrop; grandchildren, Michelle Stanford (Kelly) of Victoria, Sheri Gannon of Victoria, Tracey Gerdes (Ryan) of Victoria, Trent Gannon (Jessica) of Corpus and great-grandchildren, Trystan Stanford, Brodde Stanford, Adalen Stanford and Madison Gannon.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Wayne Odom; step-father, Finley E. Dickenson; brother, Jack H. Dickenson and step-daughter, Linda Odom Simpson.

A visitation and funeral service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 10-11 am at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2 pm Saturday at Kenedy Cemetery in Kenedy, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Betty's family.
