Brance Edward Moyer was born on June 5, 1942 in Amarillo, TX, and passed on to life eternal on December 10, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 81. He was the son of Rev. Harry and Lela Moyer and was named after song Evangelist Brance Edwards.

Brance was a high school graduate of Guthrie, OK High School in 1960 after completing all of his prior high school years in Fairview, OK. Therefore, he claimed both schools as his alma mater and celebrated his 50th anniversary with both schools. Upon graduating, Brance attended Bethany Nazarene College (now Southern Nazarene University) in Bethany, OK. He graduated in May, 1966, and began a life of ministry in Ulysses, Kansas at the end of June. His further ministry included pastoring in Oklahoma and Texas and serving as an Evangelist for 9 years followed by 42 years of fulltime ministry, finally retiring after 9 1/2 years as pastor in Baytown, TX in 2008. He and Connie moved to Warr Acres, OK where they lived at the time of his death. Since 2008, Brance and Connie have been the Sr. Adult Ministries Directors at Bethany Calvary Church of the Nazarene.

On June 8, 1963, Brance and Barbara Pickering were married in Guthrie, OK. Their first daughter, Suzanne was born December 6, 1965 in Oklahoma City, OK, followed by two other daughters, Melodi, born in Ulysses, KS, May 17, 1968, and Jenifer, born in Wichita Falls, TX, Oct. 1, 1973. In a tragic automobile accident on July 3, 1980, Barbara and Jenifer were killed, leaving behind Brance, Suzanne, and Melodi, who were spared in the accident.

On May 2, 1981, in God's providence, Brance married Connie Batch in San Antonio, TX where the family took up residence and continued on. A new daughter, Kristin, was born into this family on September 26, 1983.

Preceding Brance in death were his parents; wife, Barbara; daughter, Jenifer; sisters, Claudia Jones and Velma Sloan; and brother, Earl Moyer.

Brance is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters and husbands: Suzanne & Gregory Grimaud (Oklahoma City, OK), Melodi & Jason McWilliams (Bethany, OK), Kristin & David Mason (Oklahoma City, OK); grandchildren: Zakary & Noelle McWilliams (Oklahoma City, OK), Malori & Reid Watson (Oklahoma City, OK), Alana Grimaud (Nashville, TN), Danica & Christian Castaneda (Oklahoma City, OK), Alyssa & Chris Steel (Bethany, OK), Garrison Grimaud (Oklahoma City, OK); great-grandchildren: James, Wyatt & Dylan McWilliams (Oklahoma City, OK), and Molly & Wells Watson (Oklahoma City, OK); sister, Verta Bugh (La Verne, CA); brother, Wayne & Charla Moyer (Springdale, AR) and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of wonderful friends.

Brance was known for his carpentry skills and musical abilities, both vocally and instrumentally with his piano and accordion. All of his family have things that he made for them across the years. His love for his family and friends was evident. Many people became Christians and received spiritual guidance through his ministry. To God be the glory!
