Rev. Otho William "Dink" Clowers of Fordyce, AR, was born Feb 15, 1911, at Perryville, AR., the son of the late John Clowers and Lugenuar Abernathy Clowers. He was a minister of the Assembly of God and a member of Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church at Grapevine, Ark. Rev. Clowers died Thursday, Jan 9, 2003, at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce, Ark., at the age of 91. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Topie McGehee Stophel Clowers; and second wife, Jamie Ashcraft Clowers; one son, Clyde Stophel; and one grandson, Larry Saeler. Survivors: a very special friend that treated him like her dad, Janet Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Bill Saeler of Kingsland; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Tommy Price of Searcy; daughter-in-law, Marguerite Stophel of Pine Bluff; three granddaughters, Paulette Christy of Pine Bluff, Jeannie Phillips of New Edinburg, Patti Reeves of Warren; three grandsons, Jerry Stophel of Pine Bluff, Michael Price of Jackson, Miss., Kelton Price of Maumelle; seven great-granddaughters, Kobi Reid, Melanie Buehler, Amber Christy, Reagan and Gracie Price, Madison and Ashton Price; two great-grandsons, Keith Smithwick and Matthew Reeves; six great-great-grandchildren, Corey Taylor and Bailey Smithwick, Haylee and Clayton Reid and Austin Faunce. Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan 13, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church in Grapevine, Ark., with the Rev. Mike Price, grandson, and Rev. James Foster officiating, interment will follow at the Cherry Hill Cemetery in Perryville, Ark. Visitation: Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan.
