Albert Wilson Absher Obituary
Al Absher Jr. was born May 8, 1945 and passed away on August 13, 2021. Albert was a resident of Madera, CA. He had two daughters, Lia N. McGinnis and Allyson C. Freeman by his ex-wife, Kathy Absher, they both remained friends. Al's daughter Allyson had their Granddaughter, Brittany Wang. He has three sisters, Sheree Gayer, Nellie Emery and Diane Absher along with one brother, David Absher. His siblings said, "Al was the best big brother ever!" He was loved by his many nieces and nephews who often referred to him as Uncle. He loved his stepsons and stepdaughters very much and remained friends with his ex-wives. Al was big-hearted, cared deeply about other people, dearly loved his girls and all his family by relation or marriage. Al was a hard-working tile setter and former business owner of Los Banos Tile Company with his son in law, Jeff Freeman now owner of that business. He also owned Far West Tile Company in the San Jose, CA area. Al was highly intelligent, very talented and accomplished in his work and hobbies although he never boasted. Al was quick witted, always made you laugh so hard, your sides ached. Al was on the "Oasis Bar" baseball team in Capitola, CA he was a valued player and his daughters loved going to his games. Al was an avid lover of Chevrolet Corvettes and Impalas he owned several makes and models over the years. His daughter, Lia N. McGinnis is currently owner of his former 1996 Chevrolet Corvette as it is now under restoration to its former glory by her husband, Charles Lawson. Al loved to sing karaoke as it seems like yesterday when he was signing "Are you Lonesome Tonight" and "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Pressley. Al was a diehard Raider fan who never missed watching any games on TV. Al was dearly loved by many and will be profoundly missed. Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and DEATH WILL BE NO MORE, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." A Star in the Universe which is shining blue has been named in our fathers honor.
