Lorie was born on April 9, 1939 in Kinder, Louisiana to Joseph and Lillian Lormand Buller. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed going on many fun vacations all over the United States with her family. In her spare time, Lorie liked putting puzzles together and playing dominoes. She was famous for her delicious roast beef and "Lorie rolls".
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 66 years, James Bruce; children, Karl Bruce (Christine) and Sharon Reeves (Bill); grandchildren, Tracy Newhouse (Brandon), Matt Bruce (Melissa), Courtney Ward (Glenn), Kody Bruce (Toya), and Kayla Hatcher (Eric); great grandchildren, Katelyn, Kaleb, Silas, Trip, Hendricks, Sadie, Lochlann, and Lorie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Lola Comeaux, Lawrence Buller, and Leroy Buller.
Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 1 p.m. Rev. Don Snider will officiate. Burial will take place in Old Ritchie Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
