Sergeant Calvin Adams, a devoted patriot, loving husband, and hardworking individual, passed away on December 7, 2023, in Columbia, Tennessee. He was born on September 28, 1945, to the late Theodore and Nadine "Butler" Adams.

Calvin Adams dedicated over 30 years of his life to serving his country in the military, a significant portion of which was spent bravely defending the principles of freedom during the Vietnam War. A proud American, he cherished his military service, embodying the values of duty, honor, and commitment.

Following his honorable service, Calvin Adams channeled his strong work ethic into a fulfilling civilian career. His work ambition was unmatched, and he approached each task with unwavering dedication and excellence. His commitment to hard work and diligence left a lasting impact on those around him.

Upon his retirement, Calvin Adams found joy in exploring the world with his beloved wife, Marilyn. They shared a passion for travel, embarking on adventures to various destinations, including Florida and historic Gettysburg. Calvin is preceded in death by his parents.

Calvin is survived by his wife: Marilyn; sons: Ricky (Amy) Adams and Bryan (Renee) Adams; granddaughter: Olivia Grace Adams; brother: Johnny (Rita) Adams; niece: Anne (Jeremy) Doyle; nephew: Daniel Adams; mother of his children: Linda Bates Boshers; and many extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Adams, Bryan Adams, Jimmy Damron, George Stofel, Weston Stofel, Adam Ray Jr., and Jim Howser.

A service for Calvin will be on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee at 1 pm with Kim "Pops" Seago officiating. The family will receive friends at 11 AM to the start of the service in Columbia, Tennessee. Calvin will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
