Mildred Agnes Young, 98, of Cuba, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at Victorian Place of Cuba.

She was born Aug. 24, 1925, to David Wesley and Blanch Edna (Norton) Belknap in Hatfield, Ark.

She was united in marriage to Alex Adolph Young Jan. 18, 1941, in Leadington.

Mildred was a member of the Assembly of God of Owensville. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, canning, cooking, baking and also was an avid gardener.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Blanch; husband, Alex; sons, David and Roy Young; daughters, Katie McKinney and Viola Thurman; siblings, Leonard, Eugene and Burtis Belknap and Pauline Saling; son-in-law, Edgar Craig; and daughters-in-law, Barbara Young and Anita Young; grandson, Edgar Lee Craig Jr; and great, great-grandson Benjamin Bishop.

She is survived by her sons, Rev. Howard Young and wife Dawn of Holmes, Wis. and Sammy Young and wife Rebecca of Polk; daughters, Violet Craig of Owensville, Margaret Rose of Des Pere, Wis. and Wanda Dority and husband Rev. Les Dority of Owensville; son-in-law James McKinney of Dallas, Texas; daughter-in-law Kathy Young of Salem; and by 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 21 great, great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Les Dority and Rev. Howard Young officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Bismarck at 2:00 p.m.
