Eva Dalton Woodson, 102, of Lynchburg, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 29, 2023. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Alvin B. (A.B.) Woodson for 61 years.

Eva, born on January 7, 1921, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, was the daughter of Ollie D. and Lula J. Dalton then stepdaughter of Rosa T. Dalton. She attended school in Gretna, Virginia, and met A.B. while living on neighboring farms.

Eva loved family time, hosting gatherings, sewing and decorating. Many were blessed to be recipients of her talents and creativity.

Eva is predeceased by her husband, A.B., and infant son, Stephen; sister, Alice Gatewood; and brothers, Roy, Clifton, M.T. and Lester Dalton.
