Mrs. Kennie Marie Skidmore. 53, a former resident of the Ellsworth district, died Saturday evening in Portland, succumbing to a sudden heart attack. Born July 20, 1887, in Iowa, Mrs. Skidmore was married there to Nowell Skidmore in 1897, moving shortly after to Clark County. The family made its hone at Ellsworth until 13 years ago when they moved to Portland.
Mrs. Skidmore was a member of the Methodist church of Vancouver and a former member of the Riverside Mothers' club and the Riverside grange. She is survived by her husband, Nowell Skidmore in Portland: and four daughters, Mrs. Annie Taylor and Mrs. Bertha Chapman in Portland, Mrs. Kennie Maynard in Arlington, Wash., and Mr. Louella Whitaker in Oakland. Calif.; two sons, Fred and Kenneth, at home: and three brothers. E. E. Boyd and Marion Boyd of Camas, and Dan Boyd of Seattle. The body is at Limber's funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
