Robert D. Agan, 84, of Davenport, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2009, 6 p.m. at Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Robert was born February 11, 1925, in Melcher, Iowa, the son of George and Edna (Croy) Agan. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Gabriel on August 6, 1948.
Prior to his retirement in 1986, Bob worked as a professor, teacher and principal for 40 years. He taught in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, Silver City, New Mexico, as well as Davenport, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
