Monsignor Korba impressively served God and the Church with great impact, touching the lives of many faithful followers. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was very proud of his Carpatho-Rusyn heritage. His parents came from the village of Habura, Zemplin County, then in Austria, Hungary. Not being a natural father, he always felt his five nephews and six nieces (and their children) were his. There was a very close and loving relationship with each of them. He enjoyed gardening and was a world traveler. He toured the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe extensively. He had a large collection of interesting treasures, but the greatest treasure in his life were his family and friends. He was a joy to be around with a wonderful sense of humor and love for life. He will be missed.
