David was born on April 27, 1955 to Jose Flores and Eva Haislip (Chavez) in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel and has attended several colleges to achieve his Masters Degree.

He had an amazing 29 year career in the United States Air Force as a pilot, medic and teacher.

After retirement, he enjoyed spending as much time with his grandchildren as he could. He was a long time member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, and loved it more than life itself.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Eva Haislip (Chavez).

He is survived by his sister, Theresa Montano (Ponce) of Roswell, New Mexico, son, Ellison Flores and wife Maryn Flores of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter Elysia Ashlock and husband Doug Ashlock of San Antonio, Texas, Daughter Olivia Ritchie (Flores) and husband Tyler Ritchie of Benton, Arkansas, and nine grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Hospice of Wichita Falls for their compassionate care.

A chapel funeral service for David will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas 76302.
