Leander Biffle of Dekalb County has a Claim in the National archives. He did not fight on the side of the Confederates as he disagreed with them. But he did supply lodging on his farm and farm animals for food to feed the army. He filed a claim later and was paid about 488 dollars. . See Fold3, but note name is spelled slightly differently:
